Child care can often times be a difficult aspect to plan for when labor
and birth itself is so unpredictable. Friends and family members may not be clear on the obligation of being ready to attend
to your other children when ever the time arises. Having a babysitter that is understanding of the parents needs for
being on-call, and capable of meeting the children's needs for when mommy and daddy are not able to be
with them can be an invaluable asset to your birthing team.
My name is Egypt Nunnery, I'm a home schooled teen that enjoys attending
to the needs of siblings during the labor and birth process. My mother is a birth doula, working on-call for the
past 5 years. I have experienced labors and attend to siblings for friends and family members, along with
my mother. I am comfortable and knowledgeable with labor and birth. In cases of home birth I am able to support and explain
the processes to children. I am also able to independently watch your children in your home while providing meals, entertainment, assisting
with transition and bedtime preparation.
I have babysat for individual families as well as cared for groups of children
who's parents were attending my mother's CPR classes. I am educated in child and infant CPR and Basic First Aid.
I continue to educate myself about labor and birth though videos and books. I am available to doulas
and laboring parents with at least a 2 hour notice. My base price is $150.00 per birth for the first
child and $25.00 for each additional child. There is a $15.00 travel cost for anyone living 30 min or more from my home.
